Mess-Free Finger Painting for Kids

How to Do Mess-Free Finger Painting:
To do this finger painting project, you will need a gallon size zip-loc bag and a white piece of paper, plus some tape.
Put a few squirts of tempera paint inside the bag. Use a few different colors. Â Seal the bag shut. This part is important!
Tape them to the table with the paper behind the bag. Be sure to secure the paper to the table, too so it doesn’t slide around. Let the kids squish and swirl the paint together, just like they are finger painting.  But, the best part is, that you won’t have any of the mess to clean up!
This would be a great way for your littlest ones to participate in art projects- without paint all over their clothes and in their hair, ears, eyebrows, fingernails… need I go on?  (That’s what my toddler did with his oatmeal this morning, so I really know what I am talking about).
Have you ever tried this with your kids?
What a great idea Karyn! I can remember when my son was 4 and my daughter was 2 one particular incident where finger paint ended up all over the sofa, wall, bed, books, basically you name it. I thought the kids were asleep during a nap and boy was I ever wrong, LOL. With your idea you can have some finger painting / color mixing fun anywhere, anytime. What a fun idea! Perfect for my twin toddlers who are always wanting to do things with their older brothers. Found you on Finding Beauty!
This is especially great for toddlers – and I love the color mixing part of the activity! Thanks for linking up with Montessori Monday. I featured your post at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/LivingMontessoriNow
