Curl up with Christmas Books for Kids

We are enjoying spending the week focused on Christmas!  Here are some of the Christmas books we’ve been reading… yes, it’s a pretty long list.  We really like books around here, and we LOVE Christmas time!  This doesn’t even cover the 30 or so books that we just checked out from the library today.

The Life of Our Lord, by Charles Dickens
When the Prince of Peace Was Born, by Alice Johnson & Allison Warner
I Believe in Santa Claus, by Diane G Adamson
This is a really amazing book- it compares Santa Claus to Christ with all the symbols of Christmas.  I really like it!!
Auntie Claus, by Elise Primavera
Santa’s Moose by Syd Hoff
Olive, the Other Reindeer, by J. Otto Seibold and Vivian Walsh
Beyond Bethlehem, by David Bowman
This Is the Stable, by Cynthia Cotten
Who Is Coming to Our House? by Joseph Slate & Ashley Wolff
A Star in the Pasture, by Katherine Zwers and John Tobin
The Small One, by Alex Walsh

Some are very religious focused, & some are just light and fun holiday books.  We really try to keep our Christmas Christ focused.  In fact, my children do not believe in Santa Claus, but we do still read some of the fun stories about him.  What are your favorite Christmas books?  As you can tell, I am always open for more book suggestions!  You should see the number of books in our home.  (Well, maybe you shouldn’t!)
