Melted Crayon Valentine Garland

This fun and simple kid-made craft can also be turned into a cute Valentine's Day decoration. All you need is wax paper, crayon shavings and some ribbon.

Valentine's Day craft

Choose a few colors of crayons- pick ones that blend well together to make it look a little nicer.  Use a sharpener or cheese grater to make crayon shavings.  Cut a few pieces of wax paper and grate the shavings right onto the paper.

Cover with another piece of wax paper. Heat up an iron.   Lay down a towel and place the wax paper on top, folding the towel over the top of the wax paper.  Iron over the towel for a minute.  It melts pretty quickly.

Remove and let cool, then let the kids cut into heart shapes.  Hole punch on both sides of the heart and tie together with ribbons.

Simple & cute- my kids were thrilled!!
