Growing a Sunflower Fort

This summer we wanted to try to grow a sunflower fort.  I found a little area in our yard that didn't have much growing and cleared out the weeds.  The kids have little hidden pathways through the bushes that they call mazes.  It leads right into one of their pathways, so when they are big and fully grown, they will have to go through a secret pathway to get into their fort.   After we weeded and cleared the space, I made a circle and dug a hole around for the seeds.  The kids loved helping me plant them and cover them up.

We had a few varieties of sunflower seed that we planted.

It is still growing, but here are the pictures so far...
