Have you heard of cloud dough? This is a simple sensory project you can make for your kids. They'll love playing in it. You will love seeing them enjoy themselves so much. It only requires two ingredients: flour and baby oil.
To make it, mix 8 cups of flour with 1 cup of baby oil.
Let the kids dig in and mix it with their hands. It will not be a dough consistency, but more a crumbly substance that packs together- like Moon Sand if you have heard of that.
Throw in a few things for the kids to use in their playing...
Make some sand castle towers.
Maybe bring in a few toys. They like playing in cloud dough, too.
Warning: you may not love the mess it makes. Try to stay calm and remember that you made it for them to have fun. Maybe...wait until a warm day and do it outside. Or, just get over it and pull out the vacuum, or the broom, and let them put on a clean clothes when they are done.

Oh cool...
ReplyDeleteWe will definitely try this today. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWe've made homemade moon sand but I've never seen this recipe. It looks simple. I like simple. Outdoors would be great because then you could just hose them down when they are finished. We have plenty of warm days here in South Texas.
